AIRO Among Leaders in Tech Innovation at Western Australian Biomedical and Health Showcase

On Tuesday 9th May, the Western Australian Biomedical and Health Innovation Showcase, a satellite event of the WAHTN’s Science on the Swan, was held at Council House in the City of Perth. AIRO's Co-founder, Managing Director, and CEO Associate Professor Brett Robertson was in attendance to discuss the company's latest advancements in robotic-assisted laser joint resurfacing.
The event commenced with opening speeches from the Hon Minister Stephen Dawson MLC and Professor Kevin Pfleger, the Director of Biomedical and Health Innovation at UWA and the WA Life Sciences Innovation Hub. Keynote speakers included Dr Jitendra Sharma, MD & CEO of Andhra Pradesh Medtech Zone, and Mr Brett Alderson, President and Site Leader NovaCina.
The showcase highlighted the collaborative efforts of Perth Biodesign and the City of Perth in promoting innovation and providing a platform for medical technology companies such as AIRO. The event featured several Western Australian companies, including Matilda Health, Lixa, Biotome, Agili8, Liquim, Avicena Systems, and Alcolizer Technology, all showcasing their unique contributions to the technological landscape.
These companies, along with AIRO, represent the potential of the Western Australian region in the field of transformative technology. The event was an acknowledgment of the hard work and commitment of all those involved in advancing the Western Australian MedTech industry.
